Thanksgiving has just passed on Nov. 28, and many students said it was a good time to reflect on this year and what they have been thankful for.
“I would say my family,” senior Keegan Johnson said. “They give me a lot of support in everything I do and I’m very grateful for that.”
Johnson encourages people to look for the small things in life and to appreciate them. He said that even when things aren’t going your way, it’s always a good idea to look at the positives and be thankful for them. Johnson also said that he likes to give his thanks to all of the people in his life who support him.
“I think being able to look past things that are getting you down is very beneficial, and you should always try and find something to be thankful for,” Johnson said.
Eli Geisler, a junior here at Norwalk, said he is thankful for good health.
“I am thankful for good health. I think my whole family has been very healthy this year,” Geisler said.
Geisler said that people should be thankful for the things they have. He said everyone at Norwalk High School should be grateful for the opportunity to get an education, as not everyone is as fortunate. Geisler also said that he is grateful for his girlfriend, Natalia Duggan, because she always supports him in everything he does.
“My girlfriend has been very supportive of me this year, and that is definitely something I am very thankful for,” he said.
Junior Brayden Plourde said he was thankful for the opportunity to attend a college visit.
“This summer actually I was able to go to Syracuse University for a broadcasting camp, and that’s the profession I want to go into and that helped me a lot,” Plourde said. “I learned a lot when I was there so it’s really gonna benefit me for my career moving forward. I am very thankful for the opportunity to go.”
