Football team to face Dallas Center-Grimes

The Norwalk Warriors will take on the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs at 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Mineart Field in Norwalk.

Norwalk returns two 2nd-Team All-State players, defensive lineman Kolton Borcherding-Johnson and wide receiver Eli Robbins. Norwalk lost to DC-G by a score of 17-7 last year and looks to defeat them this year. This is the Warriors’ sixth game in the season.

Tickets cost $7 and can be purchased at the door or online at https://www.vancoevents.com/us/events/landing/44575. Student activity passes can be used.

Isaac Binder, Staff Reporter
Isaac Binder is a senior at Norwalk and is taking journalism for the first time this semester. He participates in football and rugby for the school and enjoys hanging out with his friends in his spare time. Isaac decided to take journalism this year because he viewed it as a potential career path after high school and college, and had a previous interest in journalism. He was unaware Norwalk offered journalism before this year. After high school, Isaac plans to take a year off to complete general education through DMACC before attending a four year college in-state.

Gavin Briar, Staff Reporter
Gavin Briar is a Junior at NHS and is in his second year of journalism. Briar says he joined journalism because of his interest in sportscasting and his hopes to join an ESPN panel after college. Outside of the newsroom Briar says he enjoys watching hockey and football as well as baseball. Briar has played baseball for about 12 years and is currently learning how to play hockey. “This year I'm looking forward to staying on top of my work and having fun, because it's really all that matters.”
