Breakfast is said by many that it is the most important meal of the day, but do Norwalk high schoolers think the same?
Sophomore student Jaiden Kimmel said he does not eat breakfast in the mornings.
¨I usually do not have enough time, so I prefer eating after school because it gives me more time to eat and I don’t feel rushed,” said Jaiden. “I prefer light foods because it’s easier to make quickly and eat quickly.”
Blake Halsted, a freshman at Norwalk High School, had a similar response to Jaiden’s, as he also said he feels rushed in the mornings.
¨I usually eat after school because I wake up really early and I don’t have time to eat,” Blake said. “But if I do, sometimes I’ll go to the gas station and get something.”
Junior David Reints said he doesn’t eat breakfast.
“I used to eat at school when I woke up earlier, but being able to stay in bed and sleep longer is better to me than breakfast,” David said.
Aiden Moon, a freshman, said that sometimes he eats breakfast, and sometimes he doesn’t.
“If I get to school on time I’ll eat breakfast, but it depends what it is,” he said.
Sophomore Brayden Plourde says breakfast is important.
“I prefer eating breakfast in the mornings because I feel eating in the morning is more important than eating after school so you’re energized and focused throughout the day,” he said.
Brayden also said that some school breakfasts are good.
“I like the cinnamon rolls and the doughnuts because they’re easy to get when the school provides them and they’re pretty good.” said Brayden.
